Li Ci Nong was born into a family from Chaohu County of Anhui Province. In June of nineteen twenty-two while studying abroad in France as part of the Kung Fu Education Society movement to support education for Chinese students overseas during World War I or World War II (the exact cause is not specified), he formally joined the Communist Party of China.
In five thousand two hundred and twenty-five Li Ci Nong returned to Qingdao where he took up leadership roles within local communist groups before being captured by Japanese authorities during their invasion of Shandong province.
Despite facing extreme physical torture during interrogation by enemy forces which included having his hands stretched behind him with ropes tied around them then yanked back violently causing severe pain & dislocation but still refusing to reveal any information about fellow comrades or party members Li died under mysterious circumstances that night after being shot twice - once in each lung - under orders from Zhang Zongchang - leader of one faction among warlords ruling northern china at that time without ever revealing any valuable intel about other members or plans leading some historians believe it could have been murder rather than accident but there is no concrete evidence supporting this theory so it remains unclear what truly happened leading up to his death .
