Song of the South: Zhang Li's Poetry Collection
Zhang Li, a poet from Northern Song Dynasty, was good at poetry and prose, and was one of the four scholars of Su Shi. His works are included in "The Complete Poems of Song Dynasty" and "The Complete Prose of Song Dynasty". He studied under Chen Shouqi and later learned from Su Shi. Su Shi praised his writing style as similar to that of Chen Shouqi, with a carefree and natural tone.
Zhang Li's poetry is influenced by Bai Juyi and Zhang Ji. His poems often reflect the lives of common people and his own feelings, with a simple yet easy-to-understand style. He wrote several collections including "The Collected Works from Mount Ke", "Miscellaneous Poems", and "Continuation of Miscellaneous Poems". There is an account about him in "Song History", Volume 444.
